Seating tellings all about you (at @spolsky's FogBugz Demo)
You can tell a lot about a person by where they sit in an empty room. Front? Confident. Committed. Middle? Unsure. Uncommitted. Back? Timid. Ready to run.

Or when they fail to notice the "Reserved" sign on the empty front left row and get told the row is reserved, prompting them to voluntarily move three rows back instead of taking one of three empty (out of six) seats in the row directly behind the reserved one.

What?

Less than 5 minutes to go before the presentation. Wooo! I've already identified Joel Spolsky and look forward to hearing the presentation. :)

I'm not sure choice of row really indicates assertiveness so neatly. =) Hope you enjoy the presentation. Is Joel Spolsky a coding hero?

Something like that, yeah. He has posted a lot of really good articles about hiring developers, setting a good work environment for them, and doing software development. He runs/owns a company called FogBugz and also is one of the driving forces behind StackOverflow and the StackExchange Q&A sites. His workplace his something many developers dream of. I can't, unfortunately, since he's a Windows shop, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming. Heh

Oh, and he bats for our team, so that makes it even more inspiring/interesting I guess. And no, I don't have a crush on him (There's a very good chance I'd turn down any offers of sex).
