The Autobiography of Russell
Life from a different perspective
What the future is...
I've learned a few things about the future while watching Star Trek Voyager.

It's not the future. Star Trek is like a future where humans are given a few high tech toys (warp ships, matter transfer, artifical intelligence, etc) but are kept in the dark on other things. What am I talking about? These people have to make some of the stupidist "manual" adjustments while doing routine jobs when a computer program would've taken care of them perfectly. When you're in a crunch and fighting someone then a computer could target and hit someone a lot faster and more accurately then a human could.

On the other hand, Andromeda is probably more like the future.

Star Trek wasn't really ever meant to be a prediction, though. It's a fun story, instead.
