Humans as a cesspool

I find that humans are an extremely weak species and there are very few exceptions to this.

Humans value emotions over anything else, and then they let their emotions control them. We think less of those who aren't controlled by their emotions, but what makes them say that? Is it because their envious? Or maybe it's because they know they're not living up to their potential and feel ashamed so they have to put down someone who is? I don't much agree with either assessment. I think it's because they don't know any better than what they were taught; it's alright to get carried away by their emotions.

We put off things long after they should be done because we don't feel like doing them. That's one of my biggest problems, but I'm noticing that in other people it's even more pronounced and an even bigger problem. Why do we put things off when we know one way or another they have to be done, when we don't want the consequnces even more? They won't just go away, and waiting for someone else to do them for you just makes you less of a person. Yet we still put them off and hope we don't have to do it.

It takes one to know one, I suppose. Which makes me just as guilty as the rest of the human race. So much for trying to be better when I'm as much the problem.

PS: I'll have more ... let me rephrase that. I'll have less negative stuff later. Maybe even next time.
