Ctrl+Alt+Del - Scott & Ted

PVR the PC

I'm thinking of setting up a PVR on this computer so that I can record shows to DVD for later viewing. I do have a spindle of 25 DVDs just sitting here, after all, and that sounds like a decent usage for them. Each one can hold 4.7 GB (6+ 700MB files) or 2 hours of video (according to the front of the DVD). I could record about 50 hour-long shows if I make it DVD compatible, or 150 to 200 hour-long shows if I use simple data storage. Hmm, now I'm leaning toward the data storage method but it won't be playable on a DVD player. Decisions, decisions.

Last night's presentation of Hercules on SciFi was rather interesting. Collapse )

A couple of notes

"I could tell a lie with a straight face, but no one would believe me if I told the truth." Just a thought that has been forming in my head.

The five day [house] sale my brother and sister put together (that I made the website for) went well. Not as well as preferred but not bad.

I am so pathetic

Yes, I'm a loser. I just spent $20 that I really shouldn't have for another year of paid LiveJournal. After paying this month's hosting bill that leaves me with only $11 in the bank. Enough for another month or two of hosting and then I'm bone dry. Go me. -.-'

And you know why? Because spending $5 for only two months would be a "waste", when all I'm really want to do is use the search feature to find people in the area I may be able to talk to. Good luck with that.

I feel lonely

Is there anyone out there who is down-to-earth anymore? I'd just like someone to talk to about ... things. Hang out with. Show me a few sites or at least things to do. Yes, my imagination is that limited that I can't think of things to do by myself.

Yes, I'm "spamming" livejournal.

So screw me.
