Has anyone ever considered electing Opera as President? I mean, not only would she be the first black president but also the first woman.

The Powers That Be have produced Commander in Chief in an attempt to get the masses familiar with the notion of a (White) female as president, much less an African-American female. Do you really think anyone has even dreamt of it, much less considered it?

I was channel surfing the other day and they were reviewing Opera on VH1, talking about all the things she has done, like catching killers, organizing celebirty hurricane relief, etc. I think a lot of blacks and women would vote for her, possibly even a lot of sensible white men. (I wouldn't count on the politically charged whites voting for her, though)

I just thought it'd be interesting for her to try and then, to everyone's "surprise" get elected ("I voted for her, yeah, but I didn't think anyone else would."). Or not.

It would be interesting, but we are talking about a power-bureaucracy and electorate that put Bush in office. Twice. So, I don't have much optimism. Though I do have more fodder with which to predict.

I've also heard that in private she's not exactly the nicest nor easy-going individual either.

Sometimes that's an advantage in politics.

And sometimes it's a disadvantage.

Current politics case in point.
