The Autobiography of Russell
Life from a different perspective
Another one bites the dust... another one bites the dust... anot... ahem
It is just one thing after another with this computer. My right speaker decided to up and quit working on me. It is still making sound but in order to hear it I would have to hold it next to my ear.

Anyone have any recommendations for speakers? I'm not willing to spend more than $40 and I would prefer to spend under $20.
If not I'll probably just go with one of the top-rated speakers on NewEgg that are under $20.

I wish NewEgg had an m/m audio jack to audio jack cable for my TV card sound-out to sound card line-in. I have to go to TigerDirect for that, and shipping is going to cost an arm and a leg in comparison.

Have you tried your local electronics store?

You'll save on shipping, and it will likely be approximately the same price.

do any 99 cent shopping stores exist near you?
They're all the rage in NY and NJ and you could
probably find such a cable of a decent to great
quality for just about $1.

as for speakers:
DCT Factory OG1050B 600 Watts(?) 2.1 Speakers ($8.25)
YOMMO MLI-991 16 Watts 2.1 Speakers ($15.99)
Logitech X-120e 5 Watts 2 Speakers ($19.89)
Creative SBS350 12 Watts 2.1 Speakers ($29.99)
