Inadvertent Diet
I inadvertently went on a diet when I got sick. For over 48 hours I didn't eat anything that stayed down for more than half an hour. When I last weighed myself several weeks ago I was about 145lbs and very slowly inching my way up. This morning I weighed in at 133lbs. While certainly not a method I would recommend to lose some weight, it did do it. Now it will be a while longer before I have to worry about hitting 150lbs and going on a real diet and exercise program. I should probably consider starting some sort of exercise program anyway, but I don't have the time. ... Do I? Hmm...

Some of that weight loss is probably fluid. Perhaps up to five pounds is water-loss. Drink.

Oh, yes. I stopped throwing up about 24 hours into said 'diet', and from there on I only drank Gator-aid. Even that gave me stomach pain to varying degrees but at least I kept it down. It's all good now; I'm working my way back up the food chain (crackers and what-not) but staying on fairly safe fluids (water, what's left of the gator aid), although I admit to splurging on a cup of a raspberry soda I had been craving (my stomach wasn't too happy with that, though).

More foolish advice… It's best not to beat oneself up about exercising; better to take small steps that are easy to incorporate into your daily life. I often find that I get a lot more exercise than I think I do because of things that I do that I don't think of as exercise like jerking off although mine is often work related and the kind of work you do may not promote a lot of exertion (how heavy can a pizza be?). Joining a health club makes no sense if you don't use it which often happens. At the gym I used to belong to, one could always count on a fairly huge influx of new members at the start of the year due to gift memberships. It usually took about a month for the crowd to subside because many people just didn't consider exercise (at least in a gym) a priority.

Hell, go for a walk in the evenings for a half hour to an hour. Not only will you see new places you might not have been, you'll get plenty of halfway decent exercise.

And that weight loss is basically all water weight for the most part.
