The Autobiography of Russell
Life from a different perspective
454 miles on 15.3 gallons. Oh, and I stopped at a wal-mart and got a dc to ac converter and hooked up my laptop for some decent non-staticy music

29ish mpg. Not bad.

You can get nice improvements by checking your tires routinely and making sure they have the 35 psi they're supposed to.

I checked them with my brother's air pressure gauge about three weeks ago, thought they were extremely under-inflated, and put air in them to what it said was 35 psi. About two weeks ago I got an oil change and they said three of them were actually over-inflated by 5 - 10 psi so they let some air out. *shrug*

It's just a good idea, especially on long trips, because you can pick up a nail or something along the highway and lose pressure. You can also have leaky valve stems and whatnot that make you lose air over time. (not necessarily a long amount of time either)

Any halfway decent gas station usually has both an air compressor and a gas gauge that they'll let you borrow; just have to ask them for it.
