Boxer-briefs: Form-fitting?
Are there any boxer-brief wearers out there? Hopefully so, because I have a question for you. Are they supposed to be as form-fitting as the package shows (and as I remember regular briefs being some, oh, 10 years ago), or are they actually supposed to be fairly loose?

I recently picked up a package of small (30-32 waist) boxer-briefs specifically for when I play DDR. Often times when I start jumping around so do my privates, and that does get a little awkward to hold down in the middle of a jump. The only way I can get the form-fitting look/feel the way the package shows is to pull them all the way up to my belly button, and that's just not going to work.

Ahem, anyway, my point is that since that doesn't seem to be working very well, I decided, on a whim, to just wear them one day (yesterday) to see how they feel as regular underwear. So far my impression of them hasn't been entirely favorable, largely because after sitting down and wiggling around for a while they tend to ride up, and don't ride back down very easily.

i wear boxer briefs too and i've come across the same problem. if you're planning to do something active, briefs are probably your best bet.

don't get me wrong, boxer briefs aren't bad but they just take some getting used to.

Originally I was thinking about boxer-briefs, briefs, or a jockstrap. Considering that I have several sexual fantasies with a jockstrap, I decided not to go that route (yet) and try for the safer one. Despite that, it didn't stop me from getting turned on when I first got the boxer-briefs.

The next time I go to the store I'll probably get a pack of briefs. Pretty soon I'll have all the underwear types and won't know what to put on in the morning. XD

Go with the jockstrap. You can have some fantasy fun with it, wash it, and then wear it for a practical reason once that's out of your system. I recommend going with a cotton/lycra/spandex blended one that may cost a bit more. The cheaper ones are kind of rough on your penis.

Of course if you are doing DDR at home or with friends why not just do it naked? Flopping won't kill you.

The sexual fantasy involving the jockstrap also involves a second person and an activity that I'm not yet comfortable with again. That's going to have to wait an undetermined amount of time.

The flopping is somewhat distracting, and my balls seem to hang lower than anyone I've seen, so there's a lot more flopping than normal. Plus, with DDR there's a lot of twisting and jumping. And in all honesty, I just don't like the feel of the flopping quite so much that I would want them to flop.

Thanks for the advice on jockstrap fabric, though. That will come in handy when I do get a pair, and I do intend to get one eventually regardless of the DDR.

Some brands have "leg creep" a lot more than others....H&M really creep a lot, and Gap hardly at all (in my experience).

Hmm.... Yeah, that could be it. These go half way down my thigh as it is.

I have found that you have to find a pair you like the best. they all don't fit the same way. the ones i have fit pretty snuggly and i don't have the creep effect. the trick is to find the ones that work the best for you. usually though if i wear underwear i wear briefs anymore

I normally wear boxers, but for active things (aka, track meets) I wear compression shorts. They aren't extremely comfortable, but they keep the package in place well, although the first like 5 or 10 minutes of having them on feels a little restricting. But I wear them for hours at a time for meets, and you get used to them. Plus, taking them off afterwards is so liberating feeling.

Umm.... are you sure you didn't buy grandma pantys? Or maybe your just to small for them.

I'm sure the label said "Boxer-Briefs". I'm also probably just too small for them. So yes.

There are times when being skinny is a disadvantage. Clothes shopping, and apparently underwear shopping, is one of them.

Different brands and styles have different amounts of support.

All I can suggest is trying a few. I am currently sporting FTLs.

I suffered from the same problem as well when I wore Hanes or Fruit of the Loom, largely because of the material and construction underwears are generally made of: cotton using the basic rib stitch.

If you want a pair of undies you can use during intense movement sessions, or undies that don't lose their elasticity (and that's what occurs with general brand undies), you want better quality underwear. I highly recommend Calvin Klein's 365 collection. They're slightly expensive... okay, very expensive for underwear (you can purchase a good 20 5-packs at the dollar store for a single one of these) but they're so worth the investment.

here's a link to the 365 boxer brief specifically.

boxer-briefs don't offer tons of suppose , I'd suggest you go with breifs as I've had boxer-brief form-fitting look ones and they would not be great for what your looking for them.

I actually just bought a few pairs of funky colour boxer-briefs from AE a few weeks ago. They are fine in the croch but I fnd in the legs them to be a bit tight but they work better once they stretch I think

I do normally wear 30-32 boxers

Yep, I finally got some regular briefs as well (tighty whiteys). I now have a couple dozen boxers, about half a dozen briefs, and three boxer-briefs. I also have all the under mentioned in the other post you commented on. I still only wear the boxers out and about (not looking for any support there).

Nice.
