Desktop; Updates; Up next

The desktop computer is up and running again. It now has 4 cores at 3.0GHz and 4GBs of DDR3 memory, mmm.

There is something to be said for an OS that doesn't require you to restart after virtually every update. Albeit it is Windows XP and it might have gotten better with Windows Vista and/or Windows 7, but this is what it already has and I'm not about to spend 200$ to upgrade it. Anyway, as I was saying, it's obviously going to need updates after almost two years, but what I forgot about is how it will do all the updates possible, require a restart, and then display more updates. I've already restarted the computer half a dozen to a dozen times.

Up next on the computer front will be upgrading the netbook and desktop to the latest versions of Ubuntu, or actually doing my Java homework before it's too late and I flunk the class (ooo....).
