Tempted by an SSD for the netbook
Corsair P128 CMFSSD-128GBG2D 2.5" 128GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - Retail
Sequential read 220mb/s, write 200mb/s

I'm very tempted to get this for my ASUS Eee 1000HE netbook, which has a Seagate Momentus 160GB 5400 RPM hard drive in it. The SSD would have faster read/write, use less battery, and with no moving parts it would have less of a chance of messing something up internally (I carry the netbook all over the place).

The only thing giving me pause is the price. It's a very big chunk of cash for something that isn't absolutely necessary.

Ya know what, I'll reconsider it if one of the pending freelance projects go through.

i have my swapfile and some databases on my ssd. mine is 60gigs. i am considering putting the whole o.s. on there, because watching the disk usage, i see where windows is pulling from the o.s. dll's routinely, and that would be faster.
