Japan Relief Fund - Employer Matching
My employer is doing an employee donation matching program up to 1,000$ per employee for relief funds to Japan. This wouldn't count against our annual 1,000$ charity matching limit. I find myself very tempted to participate in this program, possibly even up to the maximum.

Current Mood: thoughtful thoughtful

One thing to ask is who is the money being donated to and how fast will it be sent to the organization. Been hearing the last 2 days about different efforts and some of them are taking up to 2 to 3 months to get your donation into the organizations hands...especially if you do one of those text things through your cell provider.

I think we get a choice of what organization it goes through (although I could be wrong).

2 to 3 months is a bit extreme, and really lame. Whoever takes that long is probably using it for investments in the mean time. *shakes head*
