The Autobiography of Russell
Life from a different perspective
Daily Confession
I have very limited hearing range. At noisy venues (clubs, loud restaurants, concerts, etc) I can't make out any conversations even one person away. If I'm sitting next to two people on one side, and the person on the other side of one says something to the one closer to me, it's likely I won't be able to hear or make out what is being said. In this way it is very easy for me to miss out on entire conversations, jokes, and group comradmanship.

Current Mood: tired

I feel your pain. My left inner ear was damaged during an assault some years ago and the hearing in that ear is severely limited. I can hear pretty well with both ears but I often have to ask people to repeat themselves if there is even a little ambient noise. Bars are out of the question unless all I want to do is sit there and drink.
