Oh Yeah! That's The Way
Oh yeah, every 17 year old should be forced to pay for anything they want. Forget school, a better education, and a social life.

SHEESH!!! It's not like they don't have the freakin' money! My dad makes well over $700 A Week!! And yet they still complain about not having the money for anything. He even freakin' breaks his back changing the oil in the truck just to "save money" yet they still complain about not having the money to do anything.

They've been tithing to the church for years... well over 10% and sometimes 20% too... yet they get nothing in return... F the bible! Screwed up this family so royally there's nothing left but biological bonds.

Random stranger drops by...

Tell them what you just put here.

Or you could offer to compromise, take a job on just Sunday or Saturday and pay half the cost of the vehicle and insurance if they pay the other half.

It's not the bible that's to blame, but the greed of the church.

Do you really need a vehicle anyway? I'm 22 and live with my boyfriend. Neither of us have ever learnt to drive and we use pedal cycles, buses, trains and buses to get around.

Re: Random stranger drops by...

Thanks for commenting. It's so rare...

I've tried to tell them this. I doubt I would've put it in my journal if it had worked :-\

As it is right now, though, at 17 it's extremely hard to find a job only on the weekends down here. Most people want flexible schedules or at least 18 and I have neither.

If I could believe it was the church and not the bible I might, but it's hard to when my parents are major hypocrites of the bible and church.

Well, if we had buses I would probably get a lifetime ticket. Then again, this is a small louisiana town(city?) so there isn't much here. That and the college I'm going to right now is about 7 miles away; just a little too far to walk or bike within a reasonable amount of time.

Feel free to drop by at any time.
